Humans naturally host microscopic mites called Demodex mites. They live in:
Hair follicles (including scalp, eyelashes, eyebrows)
Oil (sebaceous) glands
📏 How big are they?
Extremely small: about 0.1–0.4 millimeters long
Invisible to the naked eye—you need a microscope to see them
They tend to come out more at night and stay inside follicles during the day
